I just got home from cycling. And before cycling, I was on the bus on the way back from school. And on board the bus I was thinking "Hey wouldn't it be great to go cycle around and check out bicycles/motorcycles?". And thus I went home, had a little quarrel with my mom as usual (because I'm not the favoured son, and she always picks on me when I get home from wherever I am), changed my clothes, got my bicycle and went around exploring.
So now that I'm back already, I shall update on what happened. I went to the kitchen, and found a pot of rice and two small fish on the table. I was like "Is that supposed to be dinner?", because I'm broke and had no money to eat outside, and my family is not poor to the extent that we can only have 2 fishes as dishes for dinner. I think my mom has a vendetta against me. Well, so having said my piece, I went to check the fridge for ingredients for the fried rice I was going to cook. Took out crab sticks and luncheon meat, plus butter to substitute for the oil, as butter makes the rice taste better, provided you know how to fry rice with butter. After frying the rice, I took some of the fish and brought the meal to my room to eat. And that was then I had a flash of imagination.
Yes. It is something I'm proud of, and something my mom is scared of (Because she's always scared I'll make a mess). Come on, at least I can improvise and save money instead of wasting it on nonsensical stuff like my brother does. Well, so I go back to the kitchen, take out the blender, coffee and ovaltine powder, honey and ice. Putting the coffee, ovaltine and honey in the blender first, I then proceed to crush the ice, as I'm not so sure whether my home blender is like those industrial blenders Starbucks uses to make its ice blended coffees, and can grind cubes of ice. Thus I took out the meat tenderiser, a hammer shaped thing with sharp, triangular points on either end of the head. I put the ice cubes in a plastic bag and proceed to crush the huge cubes down to small pieces. Then I poured hot water into the blender and blended the mix for a few seconds, then adding ice and a little water and then blending again. Then when I forgot that the bottom is detachable, so I turned it to remove the container, and the bottom leaked. And my mom of course freaked out over such a small matter. Sigh. She is so... naggy. Well, it was of course my mom who crushed my entrepreneur spirit when I was in primary school with her unceasing nagging "look your brother can make little origami planes and sell them for 10 cents, and what can you do? Study hard and be an engineer.". Yes, thank you mom. Look where I am now. Woo Hoo. I'm going to be an engineer. Wow wee. Yeah. Halleujah. You have ruined my future.
So then, I had to clean up the entire area. I will do so since it is my responsibility. It was only a small spill. And my mom had to make such a big fuss. "You do know the white ant are going to come and destroy the house." And I'm like, "Mom, the kitchen floor and counter top is made of granite, and nothing spilled on the wooden cabinets." And then she starts saying something like "How can you be so sure?" And I replied, "If the white ants start to be able to feed on granite, tell dad, so we can move house. But then again, we wouldn't be safe anywhere." God... Sometimes moms can be so paranoid, they actually redefine the meaning of the word. And I think my mom's the worst, because even friends who haven't come to my house always decline my invitation. And when I ask them, they say "I heard from (so and so) that your mom is scary." But she's my mom, so I got to respect her. So I don't cuss her. Now I got to go eat before my dinner gets cold.
